SPORTS:Buffon says Ronaldo will not win the Champions League with Juventus

- Buffon believes Juventus will not win the Champions League this season with Ronaldo
- The veteran goalkeeper said Lionel Messi stands a better chance to win it with Barcelona
- Ronaldo and Messi have won the tournament nine times between them in their careers

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has revealed Cristiano Ronaldo's influence will not win the Champions League for Juventus. The Portuguese made a big summer money from Real Madrid to join the Biaconerri and his primary aim is to help the club win the elite competition. However, Juventus legend Buffon has said Lionel Messi stands a better chance in winning the trophy with Barcelona.

Discussing PSG’s Champions League campaign so far, he said: “I watched the first three games of PSG on TV from the dressing room, not from the stadium.

“I suffer too much. The Napoli game will be tough, Ancelotti has improved Napoli, they have certainties that they didn't know they had.

"After the Real Madrid game [last season] I was very angry.

“I didn't know what to say, the young Buffon emerged.

"Champions League favourites? You have to say Barcelona because they have the best player in the world. “Then Juventus who signed the other player who is considered the best.

“My Future? I want to play until I am competitive.

“I was lucky to receive offers from many big clubs and I want to continue. “I have time to give up."

SPORTS:Emery demands more from Iwobi in Arsenal's comeback draw against Liverpool

- Unai Emery tells Iwobi to step up his game following his impressive showing against Liverpool

- The Nigerian international provided the assist that led to Arsenal equalizer at the Emirates

- The Gunners academy graduate was deployed into an unfamiliar role at left-back in the match

Following Alex Iwobi's positive impact in Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Liverpool, Unai Emery has demanded more from the Nigerian. The Super Eagles star came in as a second half substitute and was deployed to an unfamiliar left-back role and the game changed. The 22-year-old provided the assist that led to Alexander Lacazette's equalizer as he canceled out James Milner's earlier strike.

Iwobi was very influential at his full back position and this led to his fifth of the season since the Spanish coach took over from Arsene Wenger. But Emery has demanded more from the Nigerian international. “Iwobi can impact hard in the match,” he said. “First he started on the right, then I thought he was better left. "His impact in some moments in the match, like our goal, is important. “His energy is important, so is his quality. He can improve. He can do better. "He scored against Chelsea, I want him to be nearer the box, having chances to score more.

“He can. He is very young. He is improving. But also he has the ambition to do more.” The former PSG manager is infamous for his gruelling fitness regimes but Iwobi has revealed how he has benefitted from the Paris St-Germain manager. “You can see from each player we’re giving [a major] shift in work and the intensity,” the Arsenal academy graduate said. “You can see the coach demands a lot, not just in matches but in training, and the results show on the pitch.”

SPORTS:Alexis Sachez's huge wages has affected new deals for Dea Gea and Martial

- Manchester United have not been able to get new deal for David De Gea and Anthony Martial
- The Spaniard and Frenchman have rejected new deals to their contract expires next summer
- Alexis Sanchez's current £475,000-a-week wage is being used as a measure to make demands

Davis De Gea and Anthony Martial's contract talks with Manchester United are being hampered with the mega wages earned by teammate, Alexis Sanchez. The club has been faced with challenges to tie down both players down because of the staggering amount the Chilean currently earns. Sanchez is presently earning £400,000-a-week including a further £75,000 for every appearance made in Red
Devil shirt.

— Mirror Football (@MirrorFootball) November 4, 2018

And now, both De Gea and Martial are using the outrageous amount earned by the former Arsenal star as a yardstick for better deals. The Spain international has rejected a £300,000-a-week offered by United given he is now the best shot-stopper in the world. The former Atletico Madrid number is currently on £175,000-a-week at Old Trafford and was expected to sign a new deal after the World Cup.

However, an agreement is yet to be reached and Jose Mourinho is bothered with the situation as Juventus are now on standby. United have the option of triggering a clause in the 27-year-old's current contract that would force him to stay until the summer of 2020.
Which means they would also lose him for nothing if he decided to see out his contract at Old Trafford. On the other hand, securing a new deal for Martial has been deadlocked as the Frenchman has rejected United's new offer.

The 22-year-old's deal will expire next summer but includes a clause that could see United keep him for a further 12 months. United are ready to double his current £70,000-a-week wages, but have been unable to secure a deal on those terms. Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have been linked with the former Monaco striker but United are desperate to keep him despite his personality clash with Mourinho.

Meanwhile, NORTHERNFILES TV had earlier reported that Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan has been lined up as a shock replacement for David De Gea at Manchester United. United's chiefs are making underground plans to sign another goalie as the Spaniard has refused to sign a new deal with the Red Devils.

SPORTS:Eden Hazard says he wants to score 25 goals for Chelsea this season

- Hazard believes he can score 25 goals for Chelsea this season
- The Belgian added that the Blues are focused on the EPL title
- The 27-year-old is expected to play against Crystal Palace

Chelsea star player Eden Hazard has revealed he can score 25 goals this season but said they must focus on winning the Premier League title. The Belgian captain has been the main man in the Blues squad since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri, scoring seven goals and providing three assists. Now that the 27-year-old has recovered from his back injury, he will be hoping to add to his goal tally when the London club host Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

— Mirror Football (@MirrorFootball) November 4, 2018

The Belgian said: “I am not looking at the stats for goals or assists. I want to feel good when I am playing, and that’s it. “Of course I can score 20 or 25 goals – maybe 40 is a bit too much, but I will try! “When I have a chance to score, I try to make the right decision. “If this is to shoot, I will shoot, but if it is to pass, I will pass. You can always improve in football – you can score more goals and have more assists. The team is helping me a lot, so I can improve, for sure.” The former Lille attacker was also asked how things have been under the new manager and memories of a difficult campaign under Antonio Conte

Hazard insisted: “We simply didn’t accept this idea. “People arrived after the World Cup and we changed manager and sometimes when you change manager you need time to do everything at your best. But we have done pretty well. “We signed good players and we lost some players as well, but the ones who are here are top players. "We can play good football and that’s why we are winning games. We just want to keep this momentum going. “The truth is we have the same target every year, which is to win titles and win trophies. I think we can challenge Liverpool and City, these are the best teams in the country. “We are not far away, we are winning games and confidence is high. But let’s stay calm.”
