Davido has reacted to claims that his account has been frozen by the EFCC in Nigeria.





There are allegations that one of the bank accounts of Davido has been frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.


The allegation was made by a Twitter account belonging to @PDP_2019 on Friday, September 14, 2018.


In the tweet, the account alleged that the EFCC froze seven different bank accounts belonging to members of the Adeleke family and which include Davido, his billionaire dad, Dr Deji Adeleke and the Osun state governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party, Ademola Adeleke.

Davido reacts to alleged frozen account by EFCC
Davido has reacted to the allegations that his account was frozen by the EFCC.

While Pulse is yet to confirm if the singer's bank account was frozen, Davido took to his Twitter to mock the allegation.

"Make dem go Wells Fargo for ATL na," he wrote in response to a fan's tweet about the account frozen allegation.

Davido announces performances at uncle's campaign rallies
On Tuesday, September 11, 2018, Davido released a 35 seconds video on his social media accounts announcing performances ahead of his uncle, Senator Ademola Adelek's campaign rallies in Osun state.


In the video, Davido urged his fans and youths in Osun state to support and vote for his uncle to become the next governor of Osun state under the PDP.

Davido had cut short his American tour to return home for his National Youth Corp Service.

Nigerian pop singer, Davido, on Friday confirmed the cancellation of his United States, US, musical tour.

The superstar disclosed that he cancelled his US tour to enable him conclude his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation programme.

Davido is one of those mobilized for Batch B of the service which is scheduled to end its three-week orientation exercise on Monday, September 17.

In an Instagram post, the award-winning singer wrote: “Due to scheduling conflicts and NYSC commitments in Nigeria, the remaining dates for the Davido Locked Up Tour has been cancelled.

“Refunds will be made available at point of purchase. Davido and his team are working hard to reschedule all dates plus add new dates in the near future. I love you guys and see you soon.


“I apologize to all my fans but duty calls. But I promise new dates would be announced for Houston Dallas LA and San Francisco. We will reschedule and add more dates. Shout out to all the fans who sold out each city so far.”

Recall that organizers of the Dreamville Festival, in which Davido was expected to perform in Raleigh, North Carolina, U.S, had yesterday announced the indefinite postponement of the show.

Motunrayo, daughter of the late music legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has disclosed that she dislikes popular singer, Davido and his music.

Motunrayo, who spoke with Vanguard, stated that her disdain for the singer grew after an encounter with him at African Shrine.

She said; “Last week, I contacted an Instagram page that has been promoting Davido to post and promote a content I’ve and they said since I’m Fela’s daughter I should pay N20,000. I told them I couldn’t afford N20,000 but N10,000. I later said I would pay N15,000 because I had just N20,000 in my account and I couldn’t exhaust all of it. They made jest of me saying ‘Oh, Fela’s daughter had only N20,000 in her account’. This is one of the reasons I don’t like him; I’ve never liked him.


“There was a time he also came to Afrikan Shrine and sat on my chair; I told him he was sitting on my chair that I was older than him with more than 8 years, that, he should get up for me.

“I advised him not to think that because he’s Davido he can just come and sit on my chair. He eventually stood up though.”

She further condemned his kind of music, classifying it as crap music.

“That’s why I love Nicki Minaj; if you listen to her hardcore songs you’ll get a lot of intelligence from it.”

The Presidency has rejected allegations by opposition politicians and their cohorts that President Muhammadu Buhari declined assent to the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill 2018, because he was against e-voting and the use of card readers in the 2019 elections.


It made this known on Sunday in a statement sent to DAILY POST by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President.

According to the statement, the President’s recent decision to decline assent to the Bill had no effect on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s use of card readers for next year’s polls.

It further clarified that the issue was not raised either by the Executive or the Legislature in the latest review of the Bill that was declined.

The statement reads: “We wish to state in clear and unambiguous terms that the issue of e-voting and use of card readers was NEVER an issue for the President’s decision to decline assent to the Bill.

“It is equally important that this issue was not raised either by the Executive or the Legislature in the recent reviews. Moreover, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) adoption of e-voting reforms is enshrined in the 2015 Amendment Act to the Electoral Reform Act. Card reader is therefore a settled matter.

“Unfortunately, most of the critics of the President, including the editorial of a national daily this morning read out parts of the letters, as made available by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, detailing the issues that were of concern to the government.

“An issue has been raised by the President concerning some ill-prepared and flawed parts of the bill for which corrections needed to be made to allow for his signature. The President wanted engagement with the parliament for the corrections to be effected so that, at the end of the day, both arms of government will be happy with the fact that we have a good electoral law in place.



“The President is not in confrontation with the parliament on this issue. He has asked his officials to dialogue with the legislature for the corrections to be effected.

“As for his alleged rejection of the card reader, nothing can be farther from the truth.

“The President is the country’s number one fan of the card reader. For a candidate who ran three times and “lost” in an electoral environment in which votes were allocated and losers asked to go to court if they felt unhappy, the President knows fully well the role that the card reader played in his emergence in 2015.

“He has said times without number that he would strengthen and widen its application in the country and this, he is determined to do.

“Accordingly, we would like to appeal, especially to the media to disregard baseless allegations against the President, even as he puts in his best efforts in working with the National Assembly to give the nation a good electoral law, and in time.

“The card reader is not in danger of being discarded. It is a sine qua non for credible elections.

“We appeal to the National Assembly to reconvene as soon as possible to consider and approve the necessary corrections to the amended electoral act.”

Bobrisky's denial of entry into the United Kingdom is reportedly hinged on what his visa permits him to do while in the queensland.





Bobrisky, has been reportedly denied entry into the United Kingdom on Friday night, September 7, 2018.

Instagblog9ja reports that the cross-dresser was delayed at the Heathrow airport after his arrival in the country by the immigration over his reason for visit.


It was further reported that Bobrisky's denial of entry into the United Kingdom is hinged on what his visa permits him to do while in the queensland.


According to the report, Bobrisky was scheduled to have a Meet and Greet with fans and celebrities while his stay in the UK.

Aside allegedly arriving the country with the aim of attending commercial events despite the prohibition on the visa, Bobrisky was also reported to be in possession of some creams he intended to sell to fans and clients.

Bobrisky enters beef with Tunde Ednut over #BBNaija's Nina

Bobrisky has joined Tonto Dikeh in defense of former Big Brother Naija "Double Wahala" contestant, Nina.

This was inspired by a jibe directed at the latter by singer, Tunde Ednut, who subbed her over the use of an Android phone.

This was aided by an intervention from Bobrisky who told Ednut to transfer the attention from actress Dikeh, to him.
